Their construction quality was average for what one might expect for plastic speaker mounts. I bought these two mounts to go with a 5 pack of SANUS speaker mounts to complete my 7.1 install. They are definitely a step down from the SANUS model in terms of construction quality and design. But are fully functional and look fairly similar once they are installed; however, if you are very discerning about things like exposed mounting or adjustment screw heads, you may want to consider individual SANUS models.
The install was the most frustrating thing for me...by comparison, the SANUS mounts were a dream. The proper hardware was not included for my speakers (which are nothing exotic). The had screws that were threaded properly, but they were too long. They had spacers, but alas, they were too small for those screws. I overcame that issue by modifying the too small spacer with some diagonal cutters the making it fit. My next issue came when I found that the mounting screws that were provided were too large for the anchors that were provided...the result, anchors that spin in their hole. I solved this issue by running the screw in and out of the anchor while off the wall to break it in, and then holding the anchor with a pair of pliers while screwing in the mounting screw. This was more difficult than it should have been, but eventually I got them up and secure.
Once there were up, they are fine for my needs. I just wish I didn't have the frustrating install.
