(More customer reviews)I bought this receiver to replace my Sony STR-DA5300ES receiver to get better Bravia Sync support and have more HDMI ports. Unfortunately I found major problems with the firmware that is forcing me to return it. The receiver intermittently goes into mute without any reason. The Bravia Sync which is one of the main reasons I bought the receiver has bugs in synchronization and discovery with other Sony products that are supposed to support this feature. In addition, the receiver runs very hot in standby presumably because the 4 port Ethernet switch is on all the time. To be fair, this receiver has a nice design and if the problems are fixed, it would a good value for money. Unfortunately, Sony is notorious for being slow to bring out updates or abandoning the product once is it in the market. I'll be checking the reviews in a few months to see if some of these issues have been fixed.
