They're pretty good at doing what they're supposed to do. Relatively easy to mount up and strong enough for pretty heavy speakers (2.86 lbs). Of course it's a little pricey but what choice do you have? These are the cheapest ones that get the job done nicely. The only weakness I notices was with the keyhole mount option. It has a little give but then again there's only one screw holding the speaker to the mount. Don't be afraid to tighten all those screws down really hard to get them to stay where you want them, the mount can handle it. Also, I'll share what helped me to mount them in the exact position I wanted them in.
Just a simple guide in case you're having trouble on how to go about it.
1. I separated the pieces (except for the elbow joint).
2. I mounted the end piece to the speakers tightly so there's no give.
3. I taped up all the wall mounts to test out the optimal spots for the speakers then attached them with the supplied hardware.
4. I took one speaker at a time and put the slightly tightened elbow to it and wiggled them around on the wall attachment till I had them in a good position.
5. I then gently slipped off the speaker and tightened the elbow in the right position on the wall (both the actual elbow and where the elbow connects to the wall mount).
6. Ran the wiring to the mounts (good luck, it sucks getting the wires around living rooms nicely)
7. attached the speaker wires to the speaker and tightened the speaker mount to the elbow.
8. Voila!!! What a pain, especially on a 7.1 system, but so worth it in the end. Wow, I feel like a real handy man now (or handy person, no offense ladies).

For smaller, lighter weight satellites (I'm guessing 4 lbs or less), these are a really good deal. As other reviewers have said, they come with a lot of hardware for different types of speakers, including a key-hole adapter. However, for heavier speakers that come close to the manufacturer's stated limit (8 lbs), these aren't great. I just hung 4 Infinity Primus 140's with these. The 140's are 7 lbs and physically bulky. First, you must get the Allen screws at each of the pivot points very, very tight (without cracking the plastic). The tilting pivot (for pointing the speakers down) is next to impossible to get tight enough to hold a heavy speaker up. When you do get it tight enough, the entire bracket flexes from the torque put on the joint by the weight of the speaker. Instead of letting the pivot hold the weight, I put spacers between the wall and the bottom of the speaker. (This is for the wall mounting configuration.) I'm pretty sure the ceiling mount would be completely unsafe/unreliable for this reason. In my installation, I will likely put a secondary strap on the speaker and the wall to ensure that the speaker doesn't come crashing down if the mount fails (or if one of the joints comes loose). Also, for a heavy speaker, mount these into studs!
That being said, I'm pretty sure these are perfect for small, lightweight sats. My advice is to buy only one and try it out with your sats before you buy a set.
